Many hundreds of years ago the county of Somerset was described by the ancient Welsh Celts and the Saxons as the Land of the Summer People. All those years ag they got it right then!

Mother Nature was kind when she made Somerset and gave us places to make the old harbours and the new marinas which are dotted along the coastline; a coastline which has long sandy beaches and plenty of seaside resorts to cater for us when we go there on holiday.

This is a land of rolling hills and wild moors, historic towns, villages and ancient woodlands, of cider and willow making combined with local delicacies, of a lifestyle which is less frantic than the norm, a place where there are nice holiday parks in which we can stay for a week or two in peace and tranquility.
