Things to see in the area
Hoburne Doublebois holiday park is perched on the edge of Bodmin Moor in Cornwall just off the main A38 road, making it handy for exploring both the Moor and many other interesting and famous things in the area such as Launceston Castle.
Launceston Castle is set on a large natural mound which has made it the dominant feature of the region and has been since it was first built after the Norman Conquest. Since it was re-built, and in the Middle Ages it was considered the ultimate status symbol of Middle Age wealth and power. Well worth a visit.
Jamaica Inn hotel is another one of Cornwall's famous legends. This coaching house has stood on Bodmin for over four centuries and is still referred to by historians as Cornwall's most famous smuggling inn.
The Eden Project: This is now a global garden which was built in a disused clay mine, and it offers a wonderful day out and more in that it is an educational project which has created stunning gardens as well as doing valuable research into plants and conservation.
Newquay: You aren't too far away from Newquay here at Hoburne Doublebois so if you can't surf yet then now's your chance to learn on what is probably the best surfing beach in the UK.
