New and used static caravans for sale
At the close of the holiday season, which is usually around Autumn we find that most if not all of the tour operators who offer static caravan or mobile home holidays will have some of their used stock for sale.
Without getting into what costs what we know that some of these static caravan sales can be really good value for money – it all depends on their age and how they have been treated during a lifetime of weekly or fortnightly lets during the Spring and Summer seasons.
What you don’t really want is to buy something which is going to cost you a small fortune in repair bills because if you are going to make a purchase AND pay out for repairs you may just as well have gone for something slightly more expensive in the first place which didn’t need any expensive attention.
Something to remember also is what the company paid for this static caravan in the first place. If it is for sale one of the major tour operators then you must assume (rightly) that the unit they are now wanting to offload cost them, when new, a fraction of the price you or I would have to pay.
So, if they are offering it for sale at the market price you could remind them that they have already had the best years of its life during the time they hired it out for profit.
Something else to think about also before making a decision is what will it cost to transport to wherever it needs to be sited, and how much ground rental will you have to pay per month, per year. All these things should be factored in when looking at static caravans for sale.
